Set up Inspera for your exam

Inspera Assessment is being used for all written exams in the MChD program this year. In preparation for their first written exam, students will need to install the Inspera Exam Portal (IEP) on their device and ensure that all the settings are correct.

Inspera Exam Portal will be used to deliver and remotely invigilate the exam. It will temporarily record the screen, web traffic, camera, and microphone during the exam and also capture a photo of the student ID card for identity verification.

Students about to do their first written exam will need to follow the steps below.

Step 1: Install Inspera Exam Portal

Please download and install the following software on your computer. It is available for Windows and Mac devices. See details on the minimum requirements.

Step 2: Set up IEP

It’s important to familiarise yourself with using Inspera before your first exam so that you can ensure that all the system settings are correct for the remote invigilation. Open the IEP software and go through the system checks.

For detailed instructions see the Inspera student user guide.

Step 3: Take a practice test

When you log in to Inspera Exam Portal, you will see a practice test available for you to take to see how the software will work.

The practice exam is set to be remotely invigilated similar to the real exam so you can become familiar with how the process will work and ensure your device is set up correctly.

Check your course Wattle site announcements for information on how to access the practice test.

Step 4: Ask for help if you need it

Attend a drop-in session if you need help. Details are available in the Outlook calendar along with your regular teaching sessions. Staff from the Assessment and TELT teams will be present to ensure you have Inspera Exam Portal ready to go before the exam.
